[VOX POP] After months of WEGO’s phone policy, students reflect
Since August, WEGO students have been required to place their phones in classroom caddies during instructional time. Now that the policy has been in place for several months, Wildcat Chronicle reporters asked students around campus: Has the rule made a difference?

Cesar Munoz, Reporter
Junior Cesar Munoz is a captain on the wrestling team and is very interested in sports. He likes writing about sports, enjoys reading sports stories, and is especially interested in getting started with photography. Cesar loves betting on sports with his dad and brother. He is also a very social person who enjoys going out and getting food with friends. Cesar is passionate and pushes his teammates at practice every day.
Briseyda Acuna-Benitez, Reporter
As a senior, Briseyda Acuna-Benitez will be a West Chicago Community High School graduate soon. She enjoys playing the guitar and continues learning how to play different chords. She has a younger sister who also attends this school.
Briseyda joined journalism this semester because she wants to learn new things, learn how to use and control a camera, and meet new people. She loves hanging out with her family, shopping at Target, and attending church on Sundays. You can often find her watching movies, especially Blue Sky and DreamWorks animations such as “Ice Age 3,” “Madagascar 2,” and “How to Train Your Dragon 2.”
Briseyda likes fast cars, including Porsches, GT3s, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Dodge Hellcat Chargers. Her favorite sports are soccer and volleyball. She enjoys learning new techniques and staying motivated. This is her first year in photography, and she is very excited to learn various techniques in the class. She also loves listening to rap music while driving, blasting the volume in her car.
Giselle Reyes, Reporter
Jumping into her first semester of journalism and her first year of high school, Giselle Reyes is looking forward to improving her writing skills as well as being able to write for the Wildcat Chronicle. Her hobbies include drawing, playing the guitar, and learning about typology (mostly Enneagrams). Usually, she can be found sleeping in class or getting distracted by doodling.
