Around WEGO, many can find different kinds of students whose personality can be found in what hobbies they do on their free time, what activities they participate in, or even the style of clothing they wear. But one way they express themselves – that many let fly over their heads – is the items that lie in their backpacks throughout the school day. Romeo Alfaro has made the life-changing decision to take Journalism for his final year as a soon-to-be graduate of WEGO.
Romeo is dedicated to running; he has been a part of the track and cross country team since freshman year and made it to Varsity his sophomore year, as well as being promoted captain and given a trophy for being the most improved of the season at his awards night. More importantly though, Romeo is obsessed with Tyler, the Creator, as he reflects his whole personality around him.

My backpack was always normally a mess in high school however now its less of a mess and more of essentials for school work and my hobbies. I always keep yarn and my favorite 0.75 crochet hook in there, ear buds and flashcards to doodle when I finished my work. But I am glad to say that my backpack is no longer a mess of papers.
however on the weekends I somehow managed to fit roller blades in there, I would warm up with rollerblading then go for a 3 – 5 mile run.
