During the Wildcat Chronicle’s trip to the National High School Journalism Convention in Philadelphia in mid-November, a group of students had the rare opportunity to step behind the scenes at PhillyCam, the city’s community access broadcast station.

Thanks to a generous grant from the WCCHS Education Foundation, students toured the studio and then split into two groups to create their own video segments – each fully produced and filmed using PhillyCam’s professional equipment with guidance from station staff.

In this first episode, “The Wildcat Chronicle Takes Over PhillyCam – Part I,” host Jonathan Saucedo interviews guests Mariah Varnado, Alex Rocha, and Logan Reed. The result is a polished, student-led show that reflects collaboration, confidence, and a flair for storytelling.
