“ARE WE STILL FRIENDS?”

Finally, the last song on the album is called “ARE WE STILL FRIENDS?” and is a personal favorite. In this song, Tyler, the Creator uses a lot of guitar, at least in the beginning of the track: he then switches up the instrumentals when he starts singing.

In the song, Igor questions whether the man he was interested in is still his friend now that he has resided himself to the fact the other man is not going to reciprocate his interest. Tyler repeats the lyric “Are we still friends? Can we be friends?” throughout the song, giving off a sort of desperate clinging notion that many people can relate to.
