Sophomore Kayla Carrasco Rios enters a new chapter in her life by trying to be less introverted and deciding to give journalism a shot. Most of the time, she can be found listening to a wide variety of music (she is basically glued to her AirPods). Kayla enjoys hanging out with her friends, even if it is just a walk around the block.
She has a variety of interests, including cooking and baking, cutting hair (her own), playing soccer once in a while, and thrifting. Kayla is interested in stories involving photography and a little bit of politics. A quick fun fact about her is that she was born in Michigan but raised most of her life in West Chicago.
