Christopher Pena is a senior, this is his first year on the Wildcat Chronicle. He is an outgoing person who is involved with many groups outside of school, and so he is rarely home. You can find him working at his job, hanging with friends and going to the gym. After high school, Chris has many dreams, including majoring in business and later having his own company.

Fading can take some time if it is done right - a fade can take up to an hour, depending on the barber and his/her technique.

WEGO's senior AVID class had the opportunity to take a field trip to North Central College on Sept. 14.

AVID students explore college options

The campus includes a good deal of greenery, despite the fact the school is situated in a large city.

AVID students walk past the Goldspohn building, a lecture hall, on the tour of North Central's campus.

The tour worked its way to several locations on campus so that students could get a feel for the academic halls and residence halls.

Many of the buildings feature modern art and history installations.

Tour guide Sydney led the group through campus as college students traveled from one class to another.

The dining hall was another stop on the list, and students followed Sydney into the large designated space to explore the food options on campus.

Because North Central is located in Naperville, the surrounding area offers other dining options.

AVID students were able to get a look at some of the residence halls at North Central. Students can live on campus or commute from home.

The athletic facility included a walking track and basketball courts. The school offers a number of intramural sports as well.

The new parking structure is under construction, but will provide more options for students looking to commute.

Sydney provided information to the AVID group along their tour and answered questions.
