What sport do you play?

I am a volleyball player.

And how long have you been involved with volleyball?

I tried sophomore year, but COVID happened, so technically this is my second year.

What was your role on WEGO’s volleyball team?

I am a middle.

Describe the boys’ volleyball team: what sort of dynamic would you say the team has?

We are a very high-energy team with a lot of weird celebrations – some I have made up. We are always excited to play volleyball, and scream very loud when we score every point, especially an ace. Basically, it is always loud where we are playing.

What has been your most memorable experience with the volleyball team?

Most memorable moment is definitely this clip. When I think of a good spike, that’s what I think of, even if most of it was my setter.

If you could say anything to your fellow team members and/or coaches, what would you say?

Just have fun. You play volleyball a whole lot better when you have fun playing it.

You are graduating this year: what advice can you offer other students who are thinking about getting involved with volleyball next year?

Play volleyball every day, even if it is for 15 minutes. Volleyball is a sport where, if you don’t play for a while, you will just forget how to play.

And finally, who has been your biggest supporter?

My mom is my biggest supporter because she not only helped me raise 1000 dollars for the program, but she is the loudest in the stands.
