The sound of cheers filled Bishop Gym on April 30, 2026, as students gathered for Pep Club’s final assembly of the school year, featuring competitions, prom court announcements, and interactive games.
On April 30, 2026, Pep Club hosted its last assembly of the 2025–26 school year, where they announced prom queen and king, held senior den games, and gave students the chance to participate in a variety of games.

At the pep assembly, one student from each grade level competed in a game where they had to take an item shown in the box from their grade section and carefully stack it vertically on top of the box without it falling over. Although it was a close call between seniors and freshmen, the seniors took home the win.

After the first game, the two final senior dens faced off in an intense showdown. This competition featured a mix of games from each round, challenging them to give it their all. Mrs. Fremeau was determined and hopeful, aiming to secure her second win.

In the end, Ms. Mulatz’s den came out on top after a competitive and exciting round. Their teamwork and focus helped them secure the win over the other senior den. The announcement was met with cheers and excitement from the team as they celebrated their success. As a reward for their victory, each student in Ms. Mulatz’s den will receive a $25 gift card, recognizing their effort and achievement throughout the competition.
“I honestly felt really excited for my students. They worked really hard all semester, and this was a great way to finish off their senior year. I feel as though we grew close as a den over the course of the year, and they were able to show that,” PE teacher Katie Mulatz said.

After the senior den games, it was time to announce prom queen and king. The 2026 prom court included Valeria Ballines, Elizabeth Figueroa, Ella Moffatt, Victoria Avila, and Dennise Garcia, who were running for queen. Meanwhile, OJ Mercado, Nicholas Roskilly, Ryan Slattery, Christian Herrera Medina, and Cesar Lopez were running for king.
At the end, seniors Valeria Ballines and Ryan Slattery were announced prom queen and king.

Student athletes also went up against teachers in a dodgeball tournament, creating an intense and highly anticipated match. Both sides played competitively, with strong throws, quick dodges, and plenty of excitement from the crowd. In the end, the students won, and the student section erupted in cheers, celebrating their victory over the teachers.

Another entertaining game featured two students from every grade level participating in “wig snatch,” a humorous challenge that had the whole crowd laughing. The game was fun and engaging to watch, as students competed to quickly grab wigs from one another in a fast-paced round, and in the end, the freshmen took the win.
“It was so much fun. The games were hilarious. I loved the box stacking game and wig snatch!” Pep Club organizer Elizabeth Mastroianni said.

A special guest made an appearance during the pep assembly when Bruno, the dog that won Pet March Madness, was brought in. The crowd reacted with excitement as the winning pet was introduced, adding a fun and memorable moment to the event.

At the end of the assembly, students participated in a variety of games and activities, creating an energetic atmosphere throughout the event.
“I felt like today was one of our best assemblies! I think every part of the assembly today went extremely smooth. I am very thankful for staff that participated and helped us put on a great assembly that truly brings us Wildcats together. Go Cats!” Mastroianni said.
