[GALLERY] From the studio to the field: Boys’ soccer Media Day

The Wildcat Chronicle hosted Boys’ Soccer Media Day on Sept. 5 in the digital photography studio, showcasing stylized portraits from its second collaboration with the team.

Boys’ Soccer Media Day, hosted by the Wildcat Chronicle, took place on Friday, Sept. 5 after school in the digital photography studio. Players received traditional portraits to use for social media, promotions, and team materials, while the Chronicle is exclusively showcasing the stylized versions here. For additional team content, follow @westchicagofutbol on Instagram.

This was the Chronicle’s second collaboration with the soccer program. The event was led by Aly Dusing, Special Projects Manager, with photography by Ana Hurtado, Sports Editor, and behind-the-scenes video coverage by Miley Pegg, Sports Reporter, for an upcoming fall sports senior sign-out project.

Aly Dusing, Managing Editor

Alyson (Aly) Dusing is an outgoing and engaging senior who enjoys making new connections and spending time with people she values. She strives to earn inspiring opportunities and continue to grow in academic, social, artistic, and other aspects. Once she graduates, Aly plans to pursue her dream career as a criminal defense attorney, hopefully somewhere where harsh winters do not exist.

Ana Hurtado, Sports Editor

Junior Ana Hurtado is very involved within school. During her free time, Ana enjoys playing soccer for school and club, and hopes to play college in the future. As a lover of English, she reads in her spare time, but Ana’s true passion lies within writing. This led her to joining the Wildcat Chronicle her sophomore year, where she gained more knowledge and exposure in the writing field. Since then, Ana has become a Sports Editor for the Chronicle, and regularly cranks out athletic articles. This editor is a three-time Best of SNO winner, and an award-winning video producer. In the future, Ana wishes to go into English education – if not, then sociology for social work – but whatever path she takes, she knows it will lead her to having a fulfilling life.
