Students in the halls of West Chicago Community High School are on their toes, whispering rumors—many of which have recently proven true. With Principal Will Dwyer announcing his resignation in March and Dr. Pedro Pueyo officially named as his replacement in early May, students and staff have wondered what other changes might be on the horizon.

In an interview conducted on April 30, Wolfe confirmed that he, too, would be moving on.
“Yes, the rumors are true,” Wolfe said.
After more than a decade at WCCHS, Wolfe made the difficult decision to leave his role as activity director to return to the classroom as a business education teacher in a different district.
“You know, after 15 years, I just decided it was maybe time to try something new,” Wolfe said.
Wolfe’s legacy at WEGO will not be forgotten. Known for his humor, energy, and positivity, he brought joy to the school community and leaves with plenty of memories – and gratitude.
“I think all the things that my experiences here prepared me to move on to a different role…in terms of how to work with lots of different people and collaborate, and so I’ll take all that with me along with a lot of good memories,” Wolfe said.
As of May 21, the school has also announced Wolfe’s replacement: Dave Jennings has been hired as the new Activity Director for the 2024–25 school year.
