About the Contributors
Logan Reed, Reporter
Future artist Logan Reed loves to draw. He plans to attend Minneapolis College of Art and Design to major in illustration.
Logan is also part of the golf team, AV Club, and volleyball, all of which he enjoys. He also has a loving family (who shared his talent for drawing).
Fun fact: Logan’s top choice of food would be the yummy Buffalo Mac and Cheese from Noodles & Company.
Tommy Murphy, Reporter
As a hardworking and dedicated WEGO football player currently playing in his senior year of high school, Tommy Murphy is most likely to be found on the field. He is confident that this year’s team – despite losing some key players – will make it far into the playoffs. That said, Tommy views football as a high school activity and is no sure he will play in college; he is currently looking at schools in Iowa, Michigan and Illinois.
Outside of football, Tommy can be found hanging out with friends (but he admits most of his time is spent at the football field practice for this upcoming season).
Emyreth Barrera, Reporter
Emyreth Barrera is a senior at WEGO this year. After high school, Emyreth plans to go to college for business and then go into training school for either cosmetology or a dental hygiene. Cosmetology has interested her since she was young, but she is leaning toward becoming a dental hygienist.
Although Emyreth and her twin sister have a lot of similarities, she is quick to point out their differences: her sister Emily is an inch taller, for instance.
This year, Emyreth decided to join cheer, as she is trying to stay as active as she can to make her last year as fun as possible.
Miley Pegg, Managing Editor
Miley Pegg is onto her final year on the Chronicle. The last four years she has grown as a writer, expanding from Taylor Swift reviews to sports writing. Her time as a Wildcat has been nothing but wild; serving as many different roles and positions on the Chronicle, writing, photographing sports, managing social media, but she is ready to take the next step. Her future will consist of studying Sports Management and Exercise Science at Judson University.
Outside of Journalism, she spends her time listening to music, like Noah Kahan, Lizzy McAlpine, and The Lumineers. While listening to music, she runs on the track team as the designated 400 meter runner and only pole vaulter.
Find her listening to “You’re Gonna Go Far” by Noah Kahan all of her senior year.
