Although Alex has lived in West Chicago her entire life, if she could live anywhere, she would go outside of the country to places such as Canada and Spain. After she is done with high school, Alex would like to become a teacher; she finds teaching fascinating because she likes helping others learn new things, and would love to continue her journey down that path.
Omar Sarmiento, Reporter
Omar Sarmiento is senior at West Chicago who is starting his first year of Journalism. Omar has been part of the Varsity wrestling team since he was a freshman, but he sees himself becoming an entrepreneur and building his own body shop to be able to paint cars in a near future.
He also works over the summer and up to October doing fair concessions, a job that takes him all over the state and beyond. The work ethic he is learning in this position has more than prepared him for his last year of high school.
