About the Contributors
Ryan Zalak
Ryan Zalak, Sports Editor
As a WEGO baseball player currently in his senior year of high school, Ryan Zalak enjoys going to the gym and would love to learn and speak Spanish. This is his first year in Journalism, and Ryan has enjoyed meeting new people. Ryan’s future plan is to go to COD and decide whether to pursue a career in automotive or as an electrician.
Carlos Allen
Carlos Allen, Senior Reporter
Carlos is a senior and it is his third year in journalism. In his free time, he likes to listen to music his favorite artists are Lil Baby and Rylo Rodriguez. Carlos is also the biggest Packers fan you'll ever meet so ladies in the future, you can't break something that has already been broken. He likes to hang out with his friends and play baseball, and golf. He plays baseball (pitcher/outfield) and golf for the school.  But to be honest, the only way Carlos gets through school is by seeing his friends every passing period. When he is older he wants to be a high school P.E. teacher and a sports coach.  He has an energetic personality and is here for a good time, not a long time.
Zach Wiegele
Zach Wiegele, Senior Reporter
Zach’s first go at journalism during his senior year brings an exciting addition to the Wildcat Chronicle’s staff. As a Varsity football and basketball player, Zach wanted to play in the NBA when he was little, but is now undecided about his future career. Despite his teams holding back in achieving his NBA dreams, Zach finds determination in performing his best when he is in action.  Curiously, Zach enjoys following crimes and figuring out the aftermath.
Emily Ziajor
Emily Ziajor, Multimedia Manager
Emily Ziajor is a WEGO senior in her second year of journalism. She attended the National High School Journalism Convention last November, and thoroughly loved the experience. She is a Polish-American (she finished her final year of Polish School in the spring of 2023) with a creative soul and high aspirations. When it comes to writing, she has a sharp imagination, and one of her true passions is photography. Emily is a multi-year member of the AV Club at West Chicago Community High School.
