On Thursday, January 11, at 6:00 p.m. West Chicago Community High School announced an e-Learning day for all students on Friday, January 12 due to potentially hazardous weather conditions.
Students should follow the e-Learning procedures by logging into their Chromebook and completing all attendance forms for each class by 1:00 p.m. on January 12.
With snow brewing, administration called the snow day to ensure students safety.
“Due to the forecast snow storm, West Chicago Community High School will be closed tomorrow, Friday, January 12, and will instead have an E-Learning Day. The decision to close the school is based on careful consideration of weather predictions, safety, and concern for the well-being of everyone in our school community,” Communication and Community Relations Coordinator Brittney Walker said via email.
Additionally, all after school activities and sports are cancelled for Friday. This includes Snowball, which is a field trip some students were supposed to leave for tomorrow.
