“Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege” is a first-person shooter (FPS) game that many players have enjoyed since its release on Dec. 1, 2015. Popular streamer Jynxzi revived the game’s relevance online by playing in front of hundreds of thousands of viewers in 2023.

Step 1: Buy the game
“Siege” can be purchased for around $20 on Xbox, PlayStation, or PC. The game requires about 40 gigabytes of storage before installation is complete. Having a headset ready is essential, as communication plays a major role in gameplay.
Step 2: Start with quick matches
Players should begin with quick matches and reach level 15 to unlock unranked mode, which allows for more structured gameplay. Ranked mode becomes available at level 50. Players can progress from Copper, the lowest rank, to Champion. Ranking up occurs by winning matches—either by eliminating the enemy team or defusing the bomb before time runs out. On defense, players must prevent the enemy from planting the defuser and protect bomb sites.

Step 3: Find a stack
A “stack” is a group of teammates who play together consistently. Building a reliable team improves coordination and increases the chances of winning. While solo play is possible, having a stack leads to stronger overall performance.

Step 4: Learn the maps and operators
Understanding maps—including common spawn peeks—makes gameplay more strategic. Strong map knowledge helps players anticipate enemy movement and react more effectively. Players should also experiment with different operators to find one that fits their play style and strengthens their role on the team.
Step 5: Communicate effectively
Clear communication is key. Players should give concise callouts and share important information with teammates. Strong aim—especially maintaining head-level positioning—also improves success in gunfights.
Step 6: Use sound cues
Recognizing sound cues is essential in “Siege.” Different in-game sounds signal enemy actions, and learning to identify them allows players to anticipate movement and react quickly, including pre-firing when necessary.
